jaunt through history, the festival is centered around the old water-powered,
still-operating gristmill which was established in 1855 to grind wheat into

fair supports the preservation of the historic Ketner's Mill. With the working
water-powered mill as its center piece, the fair showcases quality crafts,
mule-drawn wagon rides and canoeing on the Sequatchie River. Or you can watch
crafters work and see sorghum molasses being made. This one is a great time for
the whole family.

Chiaha Harvest Fair - Chiaha
began in 1964 with a few local artists hoping to sell their creations to the
public. The first show had just a dozen artists. Now, 40 years later, the
festival has grown tenfold to include 120 artists and demonstrating craftsmen
from several states with a draw of over 10,000 visitors. The event is juried and
judged with over $5000 in prize money to be awarded to artists, most of which is
committed by local businesses and individuals through a patron purchase award
program.

Park is $10.00 (cash only) for a one-day permit during the festival or $35.00

25th annual Main Street Festival brings more than 200 artisans & crafters, four
stages, two carnivals and two food courts to the historic Public Square and

the Fourth Avenue Street Dance continuing until 10 p.m., and all activities
reopening noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Arts and crafts booths line Main Street from

2008 SunDrop Country BBQ Cook-Off
- The 2008 contest will take place on May 8, 9, & 10 in
Pulaski, TN at the Giles County Agri Park. In 2007 The Giles County Kiwanis Club
hosted 48 professional teams from several states and 24 amateur teams from the
Tennessee and Alabama. Pulaski was the final leg of the 2007 Highway 64
Triple Crown (along with the 2006 Lawrenceburg and 2007 Winchester events).
As in years past, the proceeds of the contest go to help the Giles County
Community Development Center and our local children.
